🚐 Wharf Invasion Update 🌊

We’ve been rolling with the City of Santa Cruz to help Wharf Invasion grow bigger and better every year.

This time around, we were handed fewer spots than before—kind of a bummer. But after tossing around a bunch of ideas, we’ve landed on a plan that keeps the show chill, fun, and within our permit guidelines so we can keep cruising the Wharf for years to come.

Throwing down in such an iconic spot means working side by side with the city and local businesses to make sure they benefit from the energy and excitement we bring to the Wharf. If they’re stoked, we get to keep bringing our bugs, buses, and good vibes back year after year.

Looking ahead, we’ll keep pitching ideas to make Wharf Invasion even bigger and eventually bring back all generations of VWs. But this year, the spotlight’s on the OGs—1967 and earlier rides.

That said—the Wharf’s wide open to the public! So if you’re rolling a later VW, cruise on out. You’ll just need to snag your own parking.

We wanted to share an important update regarding this year’s Wharf Invasion Vintage VW Car Show:

• Registration Date Change: Registration will now open on Saturday September 6th.

• Event Date: The show will take place on Saturday, October 4th.

• Vehicle Eligibility: Due to limited space this year, the event will be limited to 1967 and earlier VW’s only.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that “VDUBs in the Village” in Capitola will return in May 2026. That event will be open to all air-cooled VW’s, so mark your calendars!
